
Deduction – A Regency Romance:
…Looking up, Molly saw Liam standing by the door wearing calfskin breeches, freshly polished boots, a cravat that had been tied by someone who knew exactly what they were doing—probably not him—and a spotless navy blue greatcoat, likely new. He held a matching top hat in one hand, glaring at it as if contemplating whether or not he should accidentally lose it.
Then he looked up at her, and all Molly knew were dark curls over aqua eyes. “Miss Taylor,” he said, ducking his head, that same sardonic smile she’d seen before so firmly in place.
Her mother cleared her throat; it was her way of reminding Molly to respond appropriately.
“Good evening, Mr. Daltrey,” she said, managing, thankfully, not to stutter over a single word…
