…Molly shook her head. “You made friends with me in order to introduce me to your brother?” She wasn’t upset so much as she was sad, that Becca was so desperate to secure people into their lives.
“I had no idea we’d spend all of yesterday together. That was coincidental. I’m glad it was raining though. It made my plan work out perfectly.”
“I looked like a drowned rat.”
Becca laughed. “It got his attention, did it not? He leaped right to your rescue. And taking you back to his apartments too…” She grinned.
“That part was your idea.”
“I just gave him some help. He needs it. Your tripping over a book was the icing on the cake.”…
