The Black Rose Vol. 7

Wolf on rocky cliff overlooking castle at night with black roses and moon

Hello, my moon‑touched friends.

I’m writing this from my desk with a cup of tea that’s gone cold, my rabbit judging me from across the room, and a manuscript that has officially crossed the threshold from feral creature to book‑shaped.

Which means I can finally say the words I’ve been waiting for:

The Tangled Moon Chronicles Book Four: Interrupted goes up for preorder in August.

Yes. August. This August. The one practically breathing down our necks.

I know. I’m screaming too.

Without spoiling anything, here’s a little atmospheric teaser from Interrupted.

There’s going to be:

More shadows. More teeth. More longing. More political mess.

More “oh no, they’re standing too close again.”

More supernatural drama that could be solved if certain characters would simply communicate like adults (they won’t).

And yes, the emotional stakes are higher. Yes, the world is bigger. And yes, someone makes a terrible decision. Possibly several someones.

It’s fine. Everything’s fine.

Probably.

Because it wouldn’t be me without a touch of chaos, here’s a glimpse of what this book had the nerve to do to me:

I rewrote one scene three times because a vampire refused to cooperate.

A Shifter decided they needed more dramatic entrances.

A side character attempted to steal the book.

I had to tell them “no” like a stern Victorian governess.

He stole the next book instead — seriously, he has.

They did not listen. They never do.

You’ll see the preorder link go live in August, and I’ll send out an announcement the moment it’s up. If you’re the type who likes to pounce on things immediately (you know who you are), keep an eye out.

🖤 Thank You

Every time I release a TM book, I’m reminded that this series found its readers — the ones who love atmosphere, shadows, slow‑burn intensity, supernatural politics, and characters who feel a little too real.

You’re my people. And I’m grateful.

More coming soon. More shadows. More moonlight. More TM.

🖤 Darcy
