The After Party

It’s been a week since The Tangled Moon Chronicles Volume One collection slipped out into the world, cloak swirling dramatically behind it like it rehearsed the moment in a mirror.

I’ve been sitting with the strange quiet that follows release day — that hush where the book is no longer mine, not really. It’s out wandering the night now, tapping on windows, whispering its secrets to whoever lets it in.

Every time I finish a book, I think I’ll feel triumphant. Instead, it’s more like watching a creature I raised unfold its wings and vanish into the dark. Proud. A little haunted. A little relieved.

If you’ve already started reading it, thank you for opening the door when it knocked.

If not, what’s wrong with you?! Just joking, I know you’ve already read it. 🖤🤭🖤

  2. Congratulations on releasing The Tangled Moon Chronicles Volume One into the wild! 🖤

That quiet after release day you described is so real — it’s not triumph, it’s more like watching something you nurtured grow legs and walk off into the moonlight. But that’s the beautiful thing about stories: they’re never truly gone. They just find new homes in other people’s hearts.

I love the image of it tapping on windows and whispering secrets. That’s exactly what a good book does — it finds you when you need it most.

Consider me one of the ones who opened the door. And for anyone still hesitating? The cloak did rehearse that swirl in the mirror, so you know it’s going to be a dramatic, unforgettable ride. 😉

Here’s to Volume One finding all the windows it needs to tap on — and to you, for letting it go. That takes courage.

    🖤🌙
