π€Iβve decided to get creative with my newsletter, so Iβve given it a name, The Black Rose. This will be volume one. π€
I plan to share music, shows Iβm watching, sneak peeks into what Iβm currently writing, and funny stories about my lifeβthere always seem to be a few of those lurking around. π€£
First though, an ad from our sponsor:
β¦Alana was a conundrum. She knew it. Strange looks and whispers behind her back were common and didnβt shock her, but she had to admit, having it pointed out to her by a boy still years away from his first acquaintance with a shaving knife, smartedβ¦
From my latest release, A Worthy Opponent, a lady and knight romance, where the lady can kick butt as well as the lads can. (Often times better. π) *See link at the end.*
And now for our program:
A good friend of mine introduced me to a show Iβd never seen before, A Discovery of Witches. OMG, itβs so good. I want to binge watch the whole thing in one weekend. But alas, I promised myself I wouldnβt, so it looks like itβll take me a month to get through it. π Itβs for the best. When I watch things too quickly, I miss out on details that wouldβve deepened the experience.
I wonβt give away any spoilers, but I will say one thing: Yes, vampires are still hot. π€
I want to send out a huge thank you to my buddy for introducing it to me. I canβt wait to see more.

My current project is, Entangled, book three in my Tangled Moon series. Hereβs a little about it.
Alessandro is a vampire from Ancient Egypt, and Kendra is the strong-willed maternal type. The kind of person you will get ten texts from because you failed to let them know you got home safely.
She loves hard.
These twoβmy three thousand year old vampire, and my modern woman, are, quite frankly, giving me emotional whiplash. π€ Donβt get me wrong. Iβm loving every minute of it.
Hereβs a sneak peek:
β¦He stood there over her, fingers on her skin, her hip against his leg; him hard and needing herβwondering why she would care. He could resist her blood, at least for another day, but her body was another matter entirelyβ¦

Now time for a true story:
I attended a Halloween Fest. I thought it would be fun. I thought it would be right down my alley.
Spoiler alert: It wasnβt.
It was a dark and stormy nightβ¦
No, really. It was a dark and stormy night.
I was cold, tired, giving out more candy than I could make up for in sales. (Candy is expensive, man!) And the icing on the cake? There was one porta potty for fifty venders. Yeah, figure that one out.
In short, I was so miserable that my man came down to take my place so I could warm up and find a bathroom. I returned half an hour later to find him talking to a pair of good-looking blondes. π‘
Just joking. It wasnβt like that. They were more interested in my work than they were in him. π€£
Later that night, I made my buddy (the one who introduced me to A Discovery of Witches) promise she would never let me do a night event again.
I donβt know what I was thinking. I hate being out at night, especially when its cold AND raining. It sucked.

As some of you already know, music is a huge inspiration to me as I write. I wanted to highlight a couple of songs from my playlist:
Night Traveler, I Still Love You β€οΈ This one is a tear jerker.
Lost Boy, The Midnight β€οΈ And so is this one…
*See end for YouTube links*
Thatβs all Iβve got for volume one of The Black Rose.
Hereβs to many more. π₯
Unless, of course, I get turned into a vampire, or a werewolf, then this will likely be goodbye. π
