I’m going to keep this short, because I’m a bit frazzled at the moment. Aside from the gazillion glitches that accompanied the release of A Worthy Opponent–my old friend, a rabbit I’d kept for the last eight years, passed away.
This was NOT easy.
He hadn’t been feeling well for a few days, then he stretched out on his side on his blanket and went to sleep. A few hours later he stopped breathing. No struggle, just silence.
I don’t think I need to say more about this, other than I miss my companion, especially on these long days spent with nothing but my imagination to keep me company.
After giving myself a week to grieve, I was visited by a darling little jumping spider. It’s legal in my state to keep them as pets, so I got her a good sized terrarium and decorated it for her.
Her name is Juliet. She’s moved into her new home, and seems to be settling in just fine. I have her here right now as I type.
Here’s a little video of her:
Thank you as always for your support. Don’t worry about me, I’ll be all right. I wouldn’t quit my job writing full time for anything anyway. It’s just been an adjustment for me.
But I’m tough. LOL. It will be fine.
❤️ Darcy
