I’ve joined Medium. It cost me $40 bucks and I’ve no idea if it will be worth it or not but I’ve heard a few people talking about it and thought I’d give it a go and see what happens.

I don’t know if any of you guys frequent Medium but I thought I’d drop the link to my page (blog?) just in case you wanted to read my stories over there.

    Hey, great to hear. I have been contemplating being more active on Medium but unsure about reach, would be great if you can share why you chose Medium. Also check substack btw

    I will check substack, thanks. I was just wondering if there was anywhere else I could share my stories. WordPress is my home though, so I guess the others are mostly an adventure, like visiting a different country! LOL

    Kinda but it seems a bit stuffy there…. Um I mean professional. 😂 You can get paid to write assuming you get enough traffic. I’ll have to wait and see if I make friends there or not. The social aspect is a big part of it for me. That’s why I like WordPress.

    I’m thinking the same way so far. Good thing I can cancel my subscription. Looks like the only way you can get seen on there is to kiss a** with the right people until they let you join their club. Why can’t you be seen for your own merit? It gives me nightmares of high school.

    That’s a very accurate description. Otherwise it looks like people get buried in the quagmire. I spent minimal time there but it seems like you need to spend half your time there doling out applause 👏 🙄

    It almost came off like the “price of admission” as it were. The more claps they get the more $$ they get as best I could tell.
    I’m all for making money, but I am not spending my day lining everyone else;s pockets and not writing my own stuff lol

    Wow yeah. Same here money is a fact of life but really I write to share the feels I felt in the writing. And definitely not to prioritize someone else’s wallet.
