What was the last live performance you saw?

What was the last live performance you saw?
It was this one a few weeks ago. It was fun but not nearly as much as this one : Twin Tribes.

They had the base turned up so high it was hard to hear anything else. The lead vocalist is very political (which I did know already) and he kept stopping the concert to lecture us. I would have preferred to have enjoyed the music for what it means to me rather than being told what to think.

Funny, I always thought Goth and Punk was mostly about being nonconformist, and now it seems to be about telling it’s listeners what they need to conform to.

Anyone else find that ironic?

  1. Yes, I would have wanted to enjoy the music for what it was than be told what to think. That would put me off not to watch them again if they were local to me.

  7. That is an unfortunate byproduct of popularity. You have to start conforming and telling others how to conform in order to maintain your position.

Interesting. You might just be on to something there.

  9. They sound pretty good. I agree with Liz. I just want to enjoy the music without any lectures. There is a time and place for politics, and a concert is not it.

Thank you. Glad to know I’m not alone in that.
