Are you a leader or a follower?

Daily writing prompt
Are you a leader or a follower?

Neither.

I don’t particularly enjoy being a follower, although I will do it if the leadership is good and it’s…. um… convenient for me to follow. 🤷‍♀️

I don’t particularly enjoy being the leader. It got on my nerves when I had a dog and she would follow me around all the time! However, if the leadership sucks and there’s chaos erupting, I have been known to step in and do it anyway.

In the long run however, I would rather go my own way. 🖤

  1. I am same. I don’t lead and I don’t follow. I do my own thing.

  5. Also liking that your answer made me wonder if Neith (in Neither) has a definition (like lead and follow have meanings) and made me look it up and find out that Neith is a warrior creator goddess (and a goddess of a lot more). Reflective spot on response (and makes me consider what if/maybe the n in Branwyn could stand for neither and Neith)! 😀

  7. Neither one is inherently better than the other, but flawed human beings have ruined this dynamic of leadership and following. There’s a long history of people in positions of leadership that misunderstand their duty and abuse it, adding a connotation of cruelty to “leader” and vulnerability to “follower”. Leadership is supposed to be a position of serving the needs of those you’re responsible to, not treating them as beneath you.
