Do you vote in political elections?

Daily writing prompt
Do you vote in political elections?

Well, yes. On account of I’m supposed to, liberty and yadda yadda, but unfortunately nothing really seems to change. People are all being people. Money is being chased, lies are told. Same old story, different faces, different times. 🤷‍♀️

Yes, I vote but I’m jaded about it.

  1. Yes, I vote too and I will vote when it’s Elections here in May. I am hoping this time they are out. That hope didn’t happen last time. So with how the country still got worse since, I am hoping they have their cumuppance and get knocked out this time.

  5. My answer is yes and I agree with what you write especially the last paragraph. But for me there are always a hope for change and every vote count.

  9. I don’t blow where you’re based but I’m in the UK. Mention not voting and you get the Suffragette argument thrown at you. But I really struggle to vote for people I don’t believe in. This time I may write ‘none of the above or their leaders’. I just feel we’re ask supporting a broken system. It would be great to see a very very low turnout to give them a wake up call, so that no party can take power. But people are too scared ‘the others’ will win to do that. So the Hamster wheel continues. Sigh.

It’s pretty much the same here only if you don’t vote people say you’re giving up your liberty.

  11. Yep. As if liberty doesn’t allow choices.

What few choices we have… that’s the irony.

  13. Truth. Never looked at it like that. We are faced into a choice of 2 or throwing your vote away.
