Rescue Rats? 🐀(Part Two)

Part One

Tangled Moon:

She followed the rats around to a back door leading to an alleyway. They ducked through a hole in the wall and disappeared on her.

“Thanks guys,” she muttered. “Maybe dogs are better at this job.” She reached for the door, figuring it would be locked. It just couldn’t be that easy. Then she turned the handle and it creaked open. She stepped out, noticing the rusted padlock on the outside. She could tell by the fresh edges that it had been recently broken.

She moved down the alley, toward the noise out on the street. As she made her way, she realized what was going on. There were rats everywhere. Hundreds of giant rats.

She had to be hallucinating. This whole night had to be a dream. She touched her throat and felt the wounds there from the vampire, felt the crusted blood under her fingertips and the swollen soreness. Maybe, it was a really vivid dream? She tried to remember if she’d accepted any drinks from strangers. She hadn’t. Of course she hadn’t, she never did.

Making her way down the street, she sidestepped a rat. She was turned around and wasn’t sure where she was. What part of the city was she in? She didn’t know where she should go, anyway. The police? A hospital? No one would believe what had just happened to her…
