What is your middle name? Does it carry any special meaning/significance?
*My mom’s favorite movie.*

My middle name is Ann.

It has no real significance, other than it’s my mother’s middle name, my sister’s middle name, and my daughter’s middle name.

Well, okay then, I guess it has significance!

I looked it up and it’s a Hebrew name that means graceful one. 😊

Works for me! My mom is one of the most graceful and kind people I’ve ever known. She’s religious and has serious standards yet she’s also so kind that everyone she talks to seems to become a different, more vibrant and loving person. She rubs off on them. ❤️ It’s so rare for a religious person to actually walk their talk, and she’s one of them.

I know you’ve been a silent entity on my blog mom, so if you see this, know that I’m proud of you.

  1. My middle name is Wayne. In school, I had to keep a secret. Being John Wayne caught attention dear Darcy.

  2. Snap! My middle name is Ann too.
It’s a hand me down family tradition thing. But with me, it’s going to stop with not having, or planning on having children.

Paul. As I’m a Catholic you have to have a Saints name as either your first name or middle name(s).

Isn’t it crazy we’re born and given a name, nationality, religion and number before we have any idea of what is going on 😂 it’s crazy when you think about it

Yeah I know it is. I was thinking the other day that if I’d been born into the right family connections I would have a publisher by now. But I’m one of the little people.

Do you know what I’d do, I’d print off one of your short stories or snippet from your book and I’d post it to every publisher you can. Also write to your local newspaper and say that you are trying to find a publisher and can they print an article in the paper or feature your writing or something. You have nothing to lose doing it do you?! You might even get a job being a journalist when they see your writing skills

Do you have Facebook, Twitter and social media? Post your stuff on as much as you can. It seems that’s the way nowadays to get noticed. You can also get a YouTube channel and post your narrations on there with a picture collection for the story maybe. Just throwing ideas out there

Yes of course. Facebook blocked me and won’t tell me why. Twitter was a dead end and Pinterest takes my pins down because apparently my vampires violate their self harm guidelines. It’s a crazy world out there. I have a YouTube channel and have done a few videos but no one cares and that’s just the reality of it. It’s sweet of you but I’m not joking when I say all I have left is prayer and this blog. It’s okay though. I’ll live.

I have a YouTube channel and I had all my guitar videos on there. I didn’t have any likes or anything so took all of them down. I wasn’t doing it for likes but to keep a record of where I was at and see how I improve etc but you feel like you have to have likes and comments and followers. I don’t have any social media platforms as I think they are all toxic popularity contests and like you said, you post something and it’s offensive to this or something or someone. I’ve never heard of a self harming vampire. I got asked to cover my arm with my scars on by a lady last summer in the pub as it was upsetting her. “F**k off and don’t look at it then was my reply 🤣. No matter what you do or what you say, somebody somewhere gets offended. Keep your chin up and carry on with your blogging. I’ve been at it 3 years nearly and you’ve got far more followers than me and interactions with your posts so you are doing something right 👌

Thank you! And about your arm, your scars are proof that you are a survivor, and it was none of her business! Yeah, I don’t post anywhere for any reason really than my writing otherwise I wouldn’t bother with it. It do appreciate the interactions I’ve had on my blog however, so I hang out here on WordPress.

Yup. I’ve actually published nine novels over the last eleven years. I had an agent, got readings from publishers, went to conferences and met people in the industry. Frankly, they just don’t give a damn. 🤷‍♀️

As far as I can tell the only way to get a publisher is to have a viral following, and the only way to make it self-published to to have a viral following… I mean, if my blog went viral I wouldn’t bother with a publisher. I rather do my own thing anyway. It’s weird.

Years ago I tried that but not recently. I was so burned out that I started focusing on my blog. It’s okay, like I said. I’d love to move things along but I’m not interested in trying to sell myself for the rest of my life either. If it’s meant to be it will be. Otherwise I’ll just enjoy my life and what I have.

Absolutely 🙌 everything is digital nowadays so books are replaced by kindles, if it’s online then it’s technically a publication of your work. It’s just a case of the audience knowing that it is there

Yeah, and I don’t want to come to hate writing so at this point I feel like doing what is best for me, and if I get enough of a following or an offer or whatever, then awesome.

  37. For our race, some siblings have the same word in our middle name. In our family, the three of us have the same middle name. We are proud of this because it was named individually by our parents. For our new friends or strangers, they can quickly recognize that we were born into the same family by reading our names.

  39. Marie – not much significance beyond it being Catholic approved. My siblings mostly have family derived names – first and middle. For me, it’s my first name only as no one I can find was named Marie after about 1799. (And I just fell into an ancestry rabbit hole researching that one.)
