Worth Fighting For (Episode 14)

(Full episode 14:40 min.)

“I need you,” he said.

“I know.”

His arms tightened around her momentarily then he set her down and slipped suddenly out of the alcove.

What?

“Peter, no,” she said, tears burning her eyes. “Don’t leave me.”

A few more seconds passed, and then she was backed against the wall by him. “What do you need from me?” he gritted.

It took a moment for her to find her voice. “We shouldn’t…”

“No, we shouldn’t.” He paused. Hands came to the wall beside her face again. “But I can touch you.”

Her breath sped. “H-how do I get at you in all this armor.”

“I said I can touch you.”

“What if I want to touch you?”

He backed off.

“Peter?” she squeaked, ridiculously needy. “I’m not leaving, love,” he said softly. She heard him unbuckle his sword belt and set it against the wall. When he returned she reached for him, pushing his surcoat, heavy mail and tunic out of her way. Who decided that knights needed to wear so many layers anyway?…
