Tangled Moon:
…The vampire, a heavy male about six foot, two-hundred pounds brought her to the ground. He wouldn’t bother biting her, but he could break her if he wanted to. Danielle struggled once, then with a growl pulled heavily to her feet. The male had his arms clamped around her waist.
She turned to snap at him but she couldn’t reach. He squeezed and she felt her ribs giving under the pressure. She couldn’t take a full breath.
Fine. I don’t have to breathe then.
Angry, not growling to conserve oxygen, she saw her chance. There was an outcropping of stone, and then a plunge down to a creek bed. It wasn’t too bad a drop. She’d be fine. Pushing off her back legs, she teetered a moment, then launched herself over it, twisting so that when she landed it was on top of him.
He lost his hold momentarily. That was all she needed. Turning, she sank fangs into him. He struggled but it was too late.
Lothar appeared a moment later, dropping another one lifelessly at her feet. He looked at her as if to say, sorry I’m late but I was delayed. He bumped her with his head
Yes, I’m fine, she told him, not that he would understand her words, but she knew he’d get the feeling from her…
