A Good Dream

Worth Fighting For:

England, 1192

…Matthew looked at Bethesda, lying on the floor, her ears pricked at a sound under the floor boards, probably a mouse. Matthew had gone to Jennifer’s chamber at dawn and had quietly let Bethesda out before she woke Jennifer begging to be up. Jennifer hadn’t even stirred as Bethesda had jumped down. He was glad to see it. Souls that were afraid always slept fitfully. He never wanted to have to see Jennifer awaken reaching immediately for a weapon ever again.

Rather he wanted to kiss her sleepy mouth, to roll her naked body beneath his in the early morning hours and pleasure her half asleep, the both of them wondering if it was real, or just a really good dream…

  7. Navigating the intricacies of love proves to be a challenge, and the paradoxical nature of it often leaves me grappling for words. In every corner of life, the sentiment holds true – love is a complex paradox. Yet, amidst this uncertainty, witnessing genuine and sincere connections between individuals, who share a love beyond any explanation, shatters the very notion of paradox. There’s a profound beauty in observing such bonds that seem to transcend the complexities of love. Despite my struggle to articulate the essence of these emotions, I penned these words to capture the prevailing belief in the world – a belief in the paradoxes that love, more often than not, presents to us.

Thank you for that. Yes that’s why I love writing these stories, empathetic love bonds are so amazing to witness—hopefully experience. It’s like the lifeblood of humanity. I mean, we exist right? And while not every soul was created in love certainly quite a few were. ❤️

  9. Absolutely! Witnessing love stories is like enjoying the finest tales, and guess what? I’ve got a front-row seat to the epic saga of Mom and Dad’s love. Their love is like the blockbuster hit that never gets old, and I’m just here with the popcorn, cheering for the real MVPs! 🍿💖
