What does it mean to be a kid at heart? I don’t think it means being careless, but carefree. Not irresponsible but open to spontaneity. To be an adult with adult responsibilities, but able to be alive in the moment, to see the joy in life and to be open to change.
There’s this episode of the original Start Trek where they’re on a planet where a disease afflicts anyone over the age of early adulthood. It made them angry and ‘irrational’. The children all referred to adults as Grumps.
I think that says it all.
