Zipporah looked up at him to find that he was waiting for her to finish. She let out a frustrated breath. “You’ll never carry a child, Peter.” Was he that thick-headed?

He brought her back into his chest. “You’re worried people might count moons and talk too much.”

She decided that it wasn’t a good time to remind him that she’d never officially agreed to marry him either way. It would only cause more friction between them. Was there any way to be with him and not have to talk to him? Couldn’t they just make love forever and forget about the hard parts?
