More than I have Words For (And an Announcement)

I have a quick announcement to make before we get onto the good stuff. I hate this part, but I have to do it because I live in a world where I have to pay to eat…

In a few weeks, I’m going to open up a subscription service through my blog. Anyone that signs up for it will get episodes of Tangled Moon and Worth Fighting For in its entirety (no teasing, sex scenes included) along with my narrations.

I’ll also be including posts of a more personal nature that I would rather not release on a public platform. I do warn you, there may be dozens of pictures of my cats involved here.

I’ll make more announcements in the coming weeks. When it’s time, be sure to subscribe right away for pics of my cats, because that’s really important, and I know that’s exactly what you’ve been waiting for.

Just kidding. I know how you think; you want the sexy stuff.

So, without further ado, here’s your thirst-trap:

Worth Fighting For

England, 1192

The fierce, protective look on Peter’s face threatened to melt Zipporah’s resolve. She wanted to take the front of his tunic in her hands, pull him to her, and kiss him like there was no Gilburn, no sick father, no painful past drowning all the good things they’d once shared.

She wanted him to lay her back on the bare ground and come to her smooth and hard—

“Peter?” she managed, albeit breathlessly. “We were good together, weren’t we?” Please, say yes, and don’t compare me to another woman.

It took him a moment. She waited, feeling every second like it was life or death. “More than I have words for,” he said with feeling.

She forced herself to move away from him. “I need space.” Her kyrtle caught on briars as she shrugged through a thicket but she didn’t care. At last, she stumbled onto the narrow, pebble-strewn beach.

She assumed Peter was behind her. He was quiet though. It took her a long time to gather the bits and pieces of herself. Turning at last, she saw him there, waiting.

“I should take you home,” he said stoically.

She had to clear her throat before she could speak. “Gilburn will be furious as it is.”

“I’m going to enjoy the look on his face when I present you to your mother safe and sound.”

“You would like that.”

He laughed, but it was uneasily done. Zipporah knew it was too late to take back what they’d said.

“He makes it so easy, can you blame me?” he said.

“Just be careful. Gilburn has friends in high places.”

“Prince John, you mean? I have friends in high places too.”

“You’d better, if you want to cross him.”
