What Would I do if I Lost Everything?

Daily writing prompt
What would you do if you lost all your possessions?

What would I do if I lost all of my possessions? I’d probably be in too much shock to think about the things. I’d be happy that I was okay and my family safe. We were in a car crash a few years ago. We walked away, but a car I really liked was totaled because someone flew through a red light.

At first I couldn’t even think about the car. We could have been seriously hurt, or killed, so the car didn’t matter. It wasn’t until the weeks passed that I missed my car. I would see one just like it and bemoan my loss. I did finally get a car that I loved even more than that one, but it took a while. Now I don’t miss it at all. I guess that’s proof that things can be replaced.

Thank you. It could have been bad but my beloved car took the beating for us.

Everything material is found out to be insignificant. A loss of material things is found that they are just a part of making life easier and more comfortable. You can miss a car but if you made the journey on foot with your passengers then you will have speak to them

Once we dismiss the way of civilisation and ignore the importance of material possessions we will stop the things we own, owning us

Too many people are owned by their possessions. Good thought.

It took me a moment to get that, but yeah. Too much pride in possessions.

In England the vast majority of girls opt for an expensive handbag over a friendship and the lads are more interested in being manicured than masculine (in the sense of whiter than white teeth and pouting). I’m someone who knows I’m not the best looking or the most popular but I’m someone who values my friends (small circle) respect than have 500 likes on my picture on Instagram

Eww… I prefer a man that takes less time to get ready than I do! I know women that post what they had for breakfast and get 500 likes. It makes no sense to me.

I’m ready in 5 minutes flat, I’m one of those people who what you see is what you get. If I value somebody as a friend then their gratitude or respect is worth so much more than a like off someone who you met once or went to School twenty years ago with.

So true. I only have a few friends. I know plenty of people but I’m only close to a few.

You have 7 people in your life that are your core priority people. It’s called the Snow White syndrome. She had 7 dwarfs, we need 7 friends

If you Google him you’ll see some stuff from shows he’s done. He’s someone that once you see him you’ll never forget him. He did a show on HBO with Ricky Gervais?! It was a podcast that was put to cartoon characters of people in the podcast that were in the style of Fred Flintstone cartoon
