I’ll admit it. I’m not cool.
It seems almost everyone is non-monogamist these days. Out of curiosity, I even looked it up on YouTube, and the only arguments I could find for monogamy were from religious sources. I even found a few videos from psychologists saying that we’re better off in polyamorous relationships, since we’re just wired that way.
As someone who raised three children with the help of—wait for it—their biological father (told you I wasn’t cool) I have a few questions.
Like, um… who takes responsibility for the children? How do you even know who dad is without a paternity test? And worst of all, is mom expected to take full responsibility for the children, financially, emotionally, physically?
Is sexual freedom really worth the sacrifice?
I have nothing against men. In fact I’ve found them a lot (A LOT) easier to get along with than women, but it seems like non-monogamy could backfire on the female population.
